There should come a point in our prayer/conversation with God that shifts from us praying "LORD, take this cup from me," to "LORD, nevertheless, YOUR will be done!"
It's our natural reaction (in the natural) to difficulties, stresses, tension, etc., to ask God to "take the pain away," or remove the situation and circumstance. But once we've been changed into NEW CREATIONS, shouldn't our "natural reaction" to the world around us and situations in our lives change as well? Shouldn't our natural reaction (coming from a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led life) now be, despite what we can or cannot see, to pray that God's ultimate plan and purpose be established...and that God help us drink and digest whatever He's placed in our cups until that appointed time? (Not saying pain and stress won't be felt even in our newness!)
Just a random thought floating around in my head! And I know the Lord is taking me somewhere with it...just haven't gotten there yet. lol :-)
