It's so easy for many of us to look at our past and immediately point out our many disadvantages or "bad luck." But the truth of it all is that God's purpose is present even in our worst situations.
The Apostle Paul encourages us best in Romans 8:18, which says "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." (NIV)
Allow God to reveal his purpose to you, then go out and live it...ON PURPOSE!!!!
